Solo Ministries

Joe Yancey, Jr. and his wife Sophia have been on their musical journey together for more than a decade. Under the name SoJo Ministries, they have since released their first single “Rejoice!” in digital format.

Reminded of God’s grace, Sophia’s light, breathy soprano rings out in the simple chorus, “Rejoice! It’s a brand new day / I just want to give You praise!”  Sophia handles the lead and background vocals on the urban inspirational feel-good track, while Joe takes care of all the instruments.

SoJo is originally from Wilmington, DE, and presently based in Atlanta.

Brian Hamilton & Divine Worship art work

Brian Hamilton & Divine Worship want you to take your praise to a whole ‘notha level, and they tag one of today’s popular catchphrases to make the point.

“Turn Up The Praises” is a celebratory song that fuses the styles of Fred Hammond, Israel & New Breed, and Tye Tribbett to create something unique for the Toronto native and his group.

“Turn it up to another level….Lift Jesus higher!” exhorts the high energy ensemble of young adults.

Hamilton, a worship leader and songwriter, founded Divine Worship in 2006.  The single “Turn Up The Praises” is featured on the group’s current CD Chosen, available on iTunes.

"Spiritual" – Donald Lawrence & Company

Available on iTunes

Donald Lawrence’s songs are often lifted right from the Scriptures, reminding you that the Bible is as timely as it is timeless.  Such is the matter of “Spiritual” from his forthcoming Your Righteous Mind album.

Blanche McAllister-Dykes (whom you know from Lawrence’s Tri-City Singers) delivers this number’s rich lead vocal atop a soul-infused music and choir arrangement, before Lawrence shouts out the band in the brassy musical interlude.  Die-hard Clark Sisters fans will recognize that the song’s climactic vamp makes its ascent sampling the sisters’ early 1980’s tune, “Walking in the Spirit.”

“Spiritual” is the second single from Your Righteous Mind.  The first single, which is the album’s title song and features Dorinda Clark-Cole, has been making waves since its radio debut.

Lawrence recently announced that the full-length project will drop August 9th.
