Rev. Arthur T. Jones, co-founder of Florida Mass Choir, has died

Jordan K. Phillips informed GMF that Pastor Arthur T. Jones passed away today after battling cancer since 2010.

Pastor Jones is co-founder of the Florida Mass Choir, with which he recorded and produced several projects.  In 2002, he released his first solo CD, Speak For Me.  He was also the founder and senior pastor of Tampa’s Bible-Based Fellowship Church.

GMF extends condolences to Pastor Jones’ wife, children, other relatives, friends, church family and Florida Mass Choir.

I woke up this Sunday morning in March 2022 with Rev Jones voice in my head singing, “It was the blood of Jesus that made a difference on Calvary.” I first heard his voice in 1987 and have never forgotten the experience. I wanted his loved ones to know that people far away who never met him in person still remember and are touched by his life of service to the Lord.

  3. Another Giant has transition from labor to reward. Rev. Dr. Arthur T. Jones was indeed a great preacher, teacher, singer and friend. A long time friend is now gone from this place but never from my heart. I thank God for all of the memories, the man and the life well lived. In the name of Jesus I ask God right now for covering over the Jones family in this season. "loveoutloud" Peace & Love.

  4. I am so sadden to learn of Pastor Arthur Jones' passing! We have indeed loss a mighty christian soldier. I have been so blessed and honored to have known him and will cherish his legacy to us all.
