“Oh How We Love YOU” is the current radio single from TIFF JOY, the Stellar Award-winning singer/songwriter who wrote and performed the hit “Amazing” with Ricky Dillard and New G.

TIFF JOY opens the exultant praise from her self-titled album with an invitation to “put’cho hands together” before directing lyrics of adoration to the Lord.  The beginning lines of which are, “Glory to God in the highest / You are great and greatly (You are greatly to be praised)…”
“Oh How We Love YOU” is co-written by TIFF JOY, Phillip Feaster, Angel Feaster, and Calvin Rodgers.  GMF featured the official lyric video here: Official Lyric Video – “Oh How We Love YOU” – TIFF JOY

Doug Williams’ current single “All of Me” is a contemporary vertical worship tune—not necessarily what one might expect from one of gospel quartet’s most recognizable voices.  Doug has always been on the cutting edge, though—whether performing solo or with Melvin and Henry aka The Williams Brothers.

“All of Me,” from the singer/songwriter’s forthcoming project, Crossover, adheres mostly to the familiar CCM I-V-vi-IV progression.  Doug comfortably assumes the role of worship leader while the background singers alternating unison and harmony voicings carry the worship melody.

J. Grant Thompson - The Greater - art work

By the time J. Grant Thompson was six, he was singing and playing drums for the children’s choir at his church.  His musical gifting was evident. Years later, his musicianship evolved to include piano, writing, and music production.  The evolution continues with the recent release of his debut single, “The Greater.”

Just as evident as J. Grant’s musical gifting is his heartfelt vertical worship through lyrical prayer: “Open my eyes to see greater…The Greater is You!”  Flowing piano arpeggios and uncomplicated background harmonies usher the urban contemporary worship track to its climactic emphasis—”You are Greater!”

J. Grant is a native of Washington, DC, and serves as a worship leader at Church of the Rock Praise Factory, founded and pastored by his parents, Pastor G. Ainsworth and Lady Margaret Thompson.

Steve Dalton I Win cover art“No matter what you’re going through, God’s got His hands on you,” sings a harmonious cast of energetic vocalists known as Steve Dalton & The Leviticus Singers of Charlotte. The group’s mid-tempo contemporary worship tune “I WIN” is loaded with affirmations and is easily a theme song for overcomers.

Though “I WIN” is filled with positive self-talk, The Leviticus Singers describe their brand of praise and worship music as vertical, emphasizing that it’s from God and points others to Him.

“I WIN” is featured on the choir’s sophomore project entitled, As ONE, Release the SOUND, which is set for release in 2015.

Nearly as fast as BET Sunday Best 7 axed him (July 20) after a pristine performance of Smokie Norful’s “I Need You Now,” Drew Chambers released a single for his already huge following (peep his Facebook page), and his newly acquired fans.

“The King,” which features Armar’rae Hill and True Foundation, is equally friendly to radio and worship team playlists.  Drew’s eclectic blend of worship and soul intensifies the reverent tune and is an impeccable complement to the vocals of Hill and his team of talented singers.

Drew is a native of Hickory, NC (of which I’m familiar, because I’m also a North Carolinian), and is definitely one to watch.  You can do just that at drewchambersonline.com.

Damion Murrill wants us to be mindful that “because we are seeds of Abraham, we are heirs to the Kingdom,” and the single “Kingdom Come” from Damion Murrill and Siloam’s forthcoming debut CD, Take A Stand, helps to facilitate the communication of this truth in radio- and choir-friendly fashion.

Damion knows good singing when he hears it.  He’s been around it all his life. The singer/songwriter/producer’s musical mentor Donald Lawrence knows good singing too; so when his path crossed with Damion’s family group, The Murrills, the result was an affiliation with Donald Lawrence & the Tri-City Singers and the eventual release of The Murrill’s own project, Family Prayer, which earned Grammy and Stellar nominations.

It’s not surprising that “Kingdom Come”—which features Damion at the helm of his own 16-member aggregation, Siloam—is Lawrence-esque, but it’s definitely not disappointing either. Group vocalists Sasha Stackhouse and Pastor Darwin Murrill (Damion’s brother), deliver the ardent vocals that distinguish this moderate ballad as the group’s own.

Damion is presently the minister of music at Word Changing Hearts Ministries in Wilmington, NC, where his brother Darwin is the pastor.

If God is worthy of our worship—and He is—then Charles Butler and Trinity’s single, “Amazing Worth,” can be added to the soundtrack of our worship experience.

EPM Music Group (founded by Earnest Pugh) announces the digital availability of “Amazing Worth” as the second single from the urban contemporary ensemble’s project, Better.  The group’s connection to Pugh is a strong one: Charles Butler and Trinity provided backing vocals on his 2009 smash, “Rain on Us.”

A radio-friendly tune, “Amazing Worth” is written by James Ziegler and produced by Morgan Turner.  Jeremiah Hicks passionately handles the lead duties.
